Friends of West L.A. surprised the parents and staff of Westwood Charter Elementary today with a surprise supplemental 2013 contribution of $6,000 in addition to the $30,625 contributed earlier in the year.
The check was presented to WISE president Lisa Woods and Principal Kathy Flores.
The contribution was made at the school’s Halloween Hoot event. 
Westwood Charter is one of the four elementary schools supported by FOWLA.
Also present at the Hoot were the firefighters of Station 92. Many excited kids got a chance to climb in to the fire engines and meet the firefighters.
Best wishes from FOWLA to the two Station 92 firefighters who were injured in the recent high-rise fire on Wilshire.
